Squid Game Review
When Seong Gi-hun, a gambling addict who desperately needs to support his daughter and ailing mother accepts an invitation from a mysterious organisation to partake in paid high-stakes games, he discovers that he has entered into a deadly tournament, known as Squid Game and there can be only one winner.
In this 9 Episode Netflix Series, Squid Game 456 players are invited to compete in several Korean children’s games for a large cash prize, of but the stakes are deadly.
The show starts out with a very broke Gi-hun. He meets a man, agreeing to take part in these deadly games not knowing the risks involved, only knowing of the prize to be won.
As the episodes continue we see Gi-hun play these games along with the other contestants who are all financially suffering. While the games are being played a private investigator with the Korean police force infiltrates the games in order to find his brother but uncovers so much more.
Although the show is originally spoken in Korean, there are English dubs available. However we would recommend watching the original with English subtitles as the dub isn't translated perfectly and you miss some of what the characters say.
